~ ÞOUGHT PÆÞOLOGY ~
~ Ðis is copied from my original, physical writing wið my fountain-pen, hwich I wrote in my journal "Gnosis Gnotes, Myriad Mindings, & ðe Genitals of Iandus: Book Þree". It's mostly verbatim, ðough I did make minor edits of my writing-quirks & minor syntæx-choices I wish I'd made æt ð' time (yesterday æfternoon).
Before proceeding to ðe scheduled programming, hwæt follows is an explanation of some of ðe idiosyncrætic stylings I employ in my English. Ðis is how I wrote it initially - hwenever I may publish a completed essay, it shæll be in ð' boringer plain English, but ðis site is my soapbox, so good luck to ðee... ~
Þ/þ : letter thorn/þorn, for unvoiced dental fricative (Standard English Th/th æs in 'Think' ('Þink'), 'mythology' ('myþology'), & 'myth' ('myþ')
Ð/ð : letter eth/eð, for voiced dental fricative (S.E. Th/th æs in 'This' ('Ðis'), 'gather' ('gaðer'), & 'with' ('wið')
Æ/æ : letter ash/æsh, for S.E. 'A/a' vowel æs in 'Cat' or 'that'
I also like to put ðe 'H/h' before 'W/w' in words hwere our modern English hæs it bæckwards from ðe original, primeval words (case in point, above) ~
~ Text follows ðusly ~
~ IN ð’ history-long canon of human þought & præxis, ðere are certain ideas & subsequent ideologies hwich I consider to be comparable to medical disease.
Hwætever hwosoëver may consider ðusly is subjective; I will be writing of my own personal opinion.
It should be disclaimed ðæt essentially any idea can be considered to propagate like a virus or oðer pestilence, akin to Richard Dawkins’s original conception of ‘memes’.
I’ll be focusing on ðose I reckon to be harmful, dangerous, & hwich spread suffering & Dis-Ease æs a genuine malignant plague might.
I’d reckon some of our most historically impæctful ideas fit into ðis cætegory.
Ðere are primordial dogmas hwich were first conceived in prehistory - hwich were nætural & rætional to believe & proselytize for purposes of social cohesion & philosophical guidance æt ð’ time - & hwich continue to be extremely popular & relevant in today’s brave new world.
Hwæt I’m þinking-of, primarily, are religion/general supernætural belief, “survival of ð’ fittest”, & tribalism, æs well æs its derivant nætionalism.
I believe ðese are among ðe utmost deadly pestilences hwich’ve plagued our poor, noble species for millennia, & hwich we’d ought to cure & erædicate if we wish to survive beyond ð’ next few centuries æt most.
I’sh’ll begin delving into belief of supernature, boþ þeological & folk, & ðæt of “new-age” or oðerwise unaligned trends.
I must again disclaim I harbor no ill-will against anyone who holds such beliefs.
By ðeir very nature, ðese ideas are usually imposed upon a person æt a very young & supremely impressionable age, & are maintained by controlling one’s conception of ð’ very nature of ðeir Being, & hwæt æfterlife (paradisical, damnatory, or oðerwise) may await ðem æs consequence of ðeir æctions þroughout ðis one life we can be certain we lead.
Ðerein lies ðe issue hwich empæssions me so strongly on ðis mætter.
To exert ðæt level of control over somebody’s entire Life, via fear & þreat of eternal suffering - ðæt is a great & wicked evil hweðer ð’ one spreading it intends or intendsn’t.
Ðis is hwy I’ve little patience for ðose neutral-parties or Devil’s ædvocates hwo feel one shouldn’t strive to influence & deconstruct ðose beliefs, & hwo feels ðose ðusly deluded hæve ð’ right to remain so-deluded if ðey so please.
I would argue it is ðeir right to be liberated from ð’ disease hwich hæs been inflicted unto ðem, so ðey may return to ð’ nætural bill of secular healþ, æs we are all born.
Fundamentally, to believe in anyþing hwich cannot be demonstrated, measured, or tested via ð’ rigor of science is delusion, by definition.
I find it shameful we don’t hold such belief to ð’ same standards any person would any oðer illogical fantasy, like a child’s imæginary-friend or faiþ in jolly ‘ol Santa Claus, or ðose distressing false-reælities beset by schizophrenia.
Æs ingrained æs ðey are, & æs genuinely painful & difficult to reconcile-hwið it must be for ðe especially devout, we owe it to ourselves & our friends, family, & fellows to guide towards ð' Light. ~
~ Ðus concludes ð' dræft I hæve ðus-far.
Þank you very much for hæving taken ð' time to read my work.
Until ð' next, Dearder, Friendo...
Be Weller. ~
