Poem #27

Writer's picture: YeofYeof

27. (1-23-20, Lewiston High School)

How can sound have such physical effect?

How can a song pull water from eyes like the moon pulls the tides?

How can this invisible thing move matter, like the wind?

Sounds so subtle shifting like a breeze

Why are we wired to react this way?

When did our cells work this function in?

What does it mean for the extent of our minds?

There are some things I just don’t want to find
